    Does an ear piercing hurt? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    There is no general, objective answer to this question. Rather, pain is subjective; it varies from person to person. What we can answer is whether it hurts more than another piercing. For example, an earlobe piercing hurts less than a cartilage piercing. For one person, it feels like a pinch, while another feels more. But don't worry, getting a piercing doesn't take long. It's over after a few seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How many piercings are you allowed at one time?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    It is not recommended to get more than 3 piercings at the same time, for example, 2 helix piercings and 1 earlobe piercing or 1 navel piercing and 2 helix piercings. The body will heal more slowly and laboriously since it will already have to heal multiple piercings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    An earlobe piercing may be pierced on both sides but a cartilage piercing, such as a helix piercing, will only allow you to pierce one ear at a time. As an aftercare tip, it is recommended to sleep on the opposite side to minimize pressure on the new piercings. If you pierce a helix on both ears, you cannot sleep on either side.
    Putting pressure on one of your piercings will cause the piercing to become more quickly inflamed, irritated or even grow out, a real-life nightmare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How should you clean a piercing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    It is best to have the piercing jewel cleaned by the piercer, they are literally the experts in the piercing world. If you do it at home then you can clean the gem with aftercare. The aftercare we sell is a sterile saline solution from Neilmed Aftercare, but if you don't have it then you may also clean the piercing with water, definitely not with alcohol, oils (like tea tree oil), home made remedies, etc. These are worse for your piercing than you think. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Can you pierce with anesthesia?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Piercing with anesthesia is neither allowed nor recommended. Piercing then becomes more difficult as the skin begins to become a bit stiffer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Is there a piercing for migraines?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    There is no scientific evidence to support this rumor. It could be the placebo effect: you are so convinced that this works, then this actually \"works.\" Another reason would be the accupunture point. The temporary swelling would press on this point but a piercing does not stay swollen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Does daith piercing really work against a migraine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    We do not recommend getting a daith piercing if the reason is \"stopping a migraine.\" The daith piercing is known as \"the piercing against migraines\" but, again, this has not been scientifically proven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Can I have a piercing without permission from my parents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    This depends on your age. Under 16, a guardian or one of the parents must be present at the time of your piercing.

    Can I go under a ct scan with my piercing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Piercings and jewelry can distort the image on a CT scan. You will often be asked if it is possible to remove the piercing. A septum piercing, e.g. on a scan for your back, should not be a problem. Especially with piercings near your abdomen, such as an umbilical piercing, it is recommended to take them out when a CT scan is taken. This piercing is visible on the CT scan so they cannot see what is behind it, and piercings can potentially interfere with the CT scan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Putting on a piercing during an MR scan, better known as an MRI, does pose a danger. If the metal is magnetic, it does pose a problem in an MR scan. Our implant grade titanium piercings and jewelry are non-magnetic. This means it is perfectly safe for MRI scans. The only problem with this that may occur is that the piercing may block vision during the scan.
    With implant grade titanium, you can also go through airport checkpoints and scanners without any problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Are x rays dangerous on my piercing? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    X-rays are used in e.g. a CT scan. As mentioned above, this does no physical damage but it will distort the scan. It is difficult to even impossible to see what is behind the piercing unless you remove the piercing beforehand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
