Can you do a nipple piercing yourself?

No, you can't and it's not very wise. There is a lot involved in placing that. Not just the piercing alone. Everything has to be completely professionally sterile.

What age should you be for getting a nipple piercing?

To get a nipple piercing, you must be at least 18 years old. Earlier than this is not possible, ook even though there is a parent or guardian along who gives permission.

How much does a nipple piercing cost?

With us, placing a nipple piercing comes to €35 for 1 nipple. Would you like to have them both done? You can! The price is then €60, but that's without the jewel included.

What materials are suitable for nipple piercings?

At Inksane, we use only Implant grade titanium,  by its many advantages: it is completely hypoallergenic (100% nickel-free), it is as hard as steel, but lightweight.

A second option is surgical steel,  but this has some disadvantages, and is therefore not used by us: heavy in weight, and there is also a small amount of nickel in it which makes those jewels not good for people with allergies.

Because we work with quality materials and piercings, so you're only going to find jewelry made out of Implant grade titanium at our physical store or online store. 

Are nipple piercings painful?

The pain a person feels often depends from person to person. But we'll be honest, a nipple piercing is the most painful piercing to place.

How long does it take for a nipple piercing to heal?

The healing of a nipple piercing can take up to a year.

This does not mean that your piercing will hurt during this period, but your nipples may be much more sensitive or perhaps not sensitive at all. Do not panic if this occurs, as this is completely normal during this period. As long as it doesn't hurt, there's no need to worry.

Can I wear nipple piercings during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

During pregnancy, you can definitely wear nipple piercings. Take them out in time as labor approaches. This way the nipples can recover peacefully before you will breastfeed. Then later, should you wish of course, you can have them put on new. 

If you are not planning to breastfeed you can just leave them in.

What size nipple piercing?

The diameter for nipple piercings being set is standard 1.6 mm. Usually, individuals choose a jewel with a straight barbell, but some also take a ring.

In terms of length, there is no standard, since each person is different. A woman's anatomy is different from a man's. So the length of the rod also varies from person to person.

Are there certain pieces of clothing that I cannot wear with a nipple piercing?

Can a nipple piercing affect my sensitivity?

It could be, because there are 2 disadvantages when placing nipple piercings. On the one hand, your nipples can become extremely sensitive. On the other hand, they can just become very insensitive, but dit is something we cannot predict in advance.

What are the different types of nipple piercings?

A choice can be made after healing between:

  • a straight barbell (rod)
  • a ball closure ring
  • a circular barbell (horseshoe)

Can a nipple piercing grow closed?
